Join BUMMP

If you are reading this, it is because you are a dedicated mentor or mentee who wants to join & enhance our growing BUMMP community! Please fill out the appropriate forms below to express your interest in being a part of our mentorship program.

Become a Mentor

If you are interested in being a mentor, please follow these steps:

  1. Email BUMMP at bummp@ucsd.edu and we will send you a mentor training video.
  2. Watch the mentor training video.
  3. Register to be a mentor using the link provided in the mentor training video.

Become a Mentee

Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a BUMMP mentee! Whether this is your first year or you are a returning mentee, we are excited to have you in the BUMMP community! 

It is mandatory for BUMMP mentees to attend one BUMMP training session. Those who do not attend a training session will not be paired with a mentor. We are offering three mentee training sessions; you are required to attend in person. After the mentee training session, you will be asked to complete the BUMMP registration form where you will provide additional information and confirm you completed the mentee training. You must complete this form in order to be paired with a mentor. 

Please attend ONE of these sessions:

  • Mentee Training #1: 
    • Tuesday, October 6, 2026
    • When: 2:30-3:30pm
    • Where: NSB Auditorium
  • Mentee Training #2:
    • Wednesday, October 7, 2026
    • When: 5-6pm
    • Where: Kavli Auditorium (Tata Hall Terrace)
  • Mentee Training #3:
    • Thursday, October 8, 2026
    • When: 5-6pm
    • Where: CNCB Auditorium 

Join the Mentee Committee!

Applications are now open to join the BUMMP Mentee Committee as Social Media Co-Chair. Below you will find descriptions of the open position. Thank you all for your interest in joining the BUMMP Board and we look forward to reading your responses!

Social Media Coordinator:
- Managing BUMMP's social media accounts (instagram, X, and bluesky) through making posts, responding to comments, answering DMs, updating links, etc.
- Designs social media posts/flyers
- Coordinates with Events Lead to design content advertising upcoming socials/meetings/etc.
- Keeps track of posting schedule in a timely manner

Requirements:
- Must be a RETURNING MENTEE (in BUMMP for at least 1 year)
